Welcome to University Academy’s Parent Teacher Organization!
University Academy is an excellent school with talented caring staff, enthusiastic students, and involved parents. The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a volunteer group dedicated to supporting the school and enhancing the quality of the educational experience at UA for all students.
Your participation is important and will contribute greatly to your child’s success. We are excited that your child will be part of this school, and we look forward to getting to know your family. We invite you to become an active PTO member and to make this school an even better place for all the children. Whether you choose to lead a committee, assist in the classroom, or simply send supplies for a class activity, your help is important and appreciated.
The PTO’s number one priority is coordinating volunteers and school events. However, fundraising is also necessary. The PTO has a few large event fundraisers throughout the school year (Fall Festival, Book Fair, 5K Race) as well as some small, ongoing fundraisers throughout the year. For example, we have Share Days at Chili’s, Sonny’s, and Chill Yogurt each month. You can buy Spirit T-Shirts for the family at any time during the school year, and the students can wear these with jeans on Fridays to show their Eagle Spirit. In addition, PTO sponsors one day a month where students can enjoy an extra spirit day for a small donation.
Membership shows your support of this valuable organization, and one of the perks of PTO membership is a complimentary school directory! Our PTO membership meets once a month at the school, alternating between mornings and evenings to attempt to accommodate various schedules.
